This is the first custom series in the Yamaha trumpet lineup, released in 1970. It was released just four years after the Imperial model YTR-1 in 1966. Nineteen models were announced as the custom series YTR-9XX, and their meticulous lineup, leveraging the unique characteristics of each model, gained popularity.
