Engraving Chisel for Metalworking, Red Chisel, Hairline Engraving, Blade Width 1.1mm. This is a hairline engraving chisel used for extremely fine line engraving, such as on silver accessories and feathers. Please refer to the 4th image. This is a commercially available red chisel that has been shaped and polished. It has been hardened and tempered. It has a slight radius (curve) applied, making it suitable for curved engraving. ★While you can engrave straight lines with a curved chisel, it is difficult to engrave curves beautifully with a straight chisel that does not have a radius. You can use it as is, but the blade edge will dull with use and become difficult to engrave with. We would appreciate it if those with knowledge and skills in chisel shaping and polishing would consider purchasing this item. ★If you purchase multiple chisels from our listings together, you will receive a discount on shipping costs.
