☆ Significantly reduced price from the original listing. Please consider. ☆ Ugo Mulas (1928-1973) Born in Northern Italy in 1928, Mulas became one of the most important international photographers of the post-war era. Starting with street photography, he gained fame for his portraits of artists. He passed away in 1973. He continued to photograph the Venice Biennale as its official photographer, a role that began in 1954, documenting the art scenes of Italy and New York. He captured monochrome photographs of the surrounding artists and their works, a constellation of stars from that era, including Marcel Duchamp, Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, and Lucio Fontana. This artwork is a piece from the New York art scene. It is a photograph of notes left on the studio wall of Roy Lichtenstein. This work was exhibited at the Ugo Mulas exhibition at M Gallery in 1986. (Catalog photo no. 9) (The catalog is also included for your reference.) As Mulas passed away in 1973, this is a rare original print developed in the studio managed by Mrs. Mulas. There is a certification stamp on the back of the photograph. (Reference photo no. 3) Photograph size: Approximately 29x40cm We hope you will enjoy the powerful art scene conveyed by this original photograph. We also have a landscape of Rauschenberg's studio listed separately. We would be truly delighted if someone would consider collecting this piece along with it. Click here for the manufacturer's site
