A high-quality item made with Hama Chirimen, a representative luxury white silk fabric of Japan, meticulously finished by a specific dyeing house. The name Hanah Kotobuki suggests it's suitable for celebratory occasions, as a formal kimono for long-term cherished wear, or a high-class komon (a type of patterned kimono). Hama Chirimen is known for its beautiful dyeing results and resistance to wrinkles, making it a wonderful fabric that can be enjoyed for a long time after tailoring. • Hama Chirimen, Hama Seal: This is a premium silk fabric produced in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, characterized by its fine texture (surface unevenness). The stamp, resembling the character 濱 enclosed in a circle, is proof of quality assurance by the Hama Chirimen Industrial Cooperative. • 100% Pure Silk: Indicates that the fabric is made of pure, unadulterated silk. • Eisho: Among Hama Chirimen, this is a **brand name (trademark) for the fabric** designated by specific weaving houses (producers). It is a name often found on heavy, substantial, and high-class white fabrics. 2. Pattern and Processing • Kikyo (Bellflower): This refers to either a mon-ishō (patterned weave) where bellflower motifs are woven into the fabric itself, or a pattern that has been dyed afterward. 3. Wakakisa Shin'ya Hanah Kotobuki It is believed that Wakakisa and Shin'ya, specific dyeing houses (or wholesalers), produced this item as part of the Hanah Kotobuki series, using the premium Hama Chirimen white fabric Eisho. ◆ A komon with a beautiful and elegant floral pattern, featuring the Hama Chirimen certification seal (Images 8-10). ◆ The color is a light gray, offering a calm and sophisticated hue. [Kimono] 100% Pure Silk, Hama Chirimen, with certification seal, featuring motifs of pine, iris, bamboo grass, chrysanthemum, wildflowers, etc. Shoulder-to-hem length: Approx. 155 cm Sleeve length (from center back): Approx. 62 cm Sleeve length (vertical): Approx. 48 cm Front width: Approx. 23 cm Back width: Approx. 28 cm *There are snap marks on the lining due to age-related storage, but it is an unused, beautiful item.
