Rare 60s Vintage Boy Scout BSA Silva Compass 1070 Made in Sweden - American Boy Scout Engraved This is a rare vintage compass from the 1960s-70s, officially licensed by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). It's the TYPE 1070 model made by SILVA, a Swedish company trusted for its precision instruments, from the era when they were based in LaPorte, Indiana, USA. The body is engraved with the First Class Scout Badge emblem, a combination of an eagle and a lily, symbolizing the Boy Scouts, and the famous motto BE PREPARED. The SILVA SYSTEM engraving refers to the company's innovative navigation technology that combines map and compass use, a technique loved by outdoor enthusiasts worldwide. The baseplate features scales in both inches and millimeters, making it not only practical but also a highly atmospheric item for collectors or as an accent for camping gear. We ask for your consideration if you understand vintage items. Please judge the condition from the images. #1960s #1970s #BoyScout #BSA #America #Vintage #Retro #Silva #SILVA #Compass #DirectionFinder #Outdoor #CampingGear #Military #MadeInSweden Click here for the manufacturer's site
