This gorgeous, highly decorative mixed-media basket is a unique statement piece. It features a beautifully contrasting design, pairing a thick, sturdy coiled rope-style rim with a more delicate, two-tone flat-woven base. The basket is built with authentic craftsmanship, utilizing traditional nailed construction on the wood elements rather than modern staples. Finished with a heavy-duty, solid wood fixed handle, this piece is designed primarily for aesthetic display rather than heavy labor, making it a perfect textural centerpiece for your home. Construction: Nailed wood elements (not stapled) with mixed woven textures Handle Status: Solid wood fixed overhead handle (1/4 in thick) Weave Density: Semi-loose flat weave on the body Stability: Very stable (sits perfectly flat, no rocking) Weight: 14.5 oz Measurements Overall Dimensions: 15 1/2 in long x 11 in wide x 12 in tall Inside Dimensions: 13 in long down to 10 in wide Side Height (Without Handle): 5 in tall Base Dimensions: 12 in x 8 in Handle Thickness: 1 in wide x 1/4 in thick Condition Report Beautiful vintage pre-owned condition. Structurally sound for display and sits perfectly flat. As is common with this specific handcrafted style, the flat woven material on the base is semi-loose, and slightly looser on one side—this is original to the piece and a natural result of the weaver's technique. Intended as a gorgeous decorative accent. &409...weight 14.5oz
