This is a Phase One P30+ medium format digital back with a V-mount. The shutter count is approximately 7,500. It is in good overall condition. This is a rare unit that is recommended for those who seek the characteristic texture and tone of CCD sensors and want to experience the depiction of Kodak sensors. ■ Features This model features a Kodak-made CCD sensor (KAF-31600CE). It is characterized by the color reproduction and rich gradation unique to CCDs, which are now rare, and offers a unique depth in the depiction of natural light tones and textures. The highlight retention and smooth shadow detail are particularly different from modern CMOS cameras. The sensor size is approximately 31 million pixels (44x33mm). RAW development allows for 16-bit processing, enabling retouching and tone adjustments that take advantage of the rich gradation data. This unit offers a sense of three-dimensionality that is difficult to achieve with 35mm full-frame cameras, along with robustness against retouching and a wide latitude. ■ Condition There are scuff marks on the upper part of the housing due to contact with the strap hardware when shooting in portrait orientation. This does not affect operation or the back's mounting. *Please refer to the photos. Other than that, it is in clean condition. The LCD screen has no scratches as a protective filter was used. There are no scratches or scuffs on the sensor. *Please refer to the photos. ■ Notes ① Power on/off is done by pressing and holding the button, but it takes time to switch, making it impractical. I usually managed this by attaching/detaching the battery. ② When underexposed images are significantly brightened during retouching, hot pixels (single bright dots) may rarely appear in rows. Based on experience, this is less likely to occur when using a tripod or shooting at proper exposure, but please be aware of this in advance. *The bathtub shot included shows some symptoms of this. It is possible to mitigate this by performing sensor remapping correction using IIQRemap on GitHub. A PC environment is required, but the necessary cables are included.
