Contains Live Bacteria! Ideal Substrate for Reptiles and Amphibians Inhabiting Tropical and Subtropical Regions Also Perfect for Terrariums, Allowing for Enjoyable Layouts with Plants. ● This is an ideal substrate for reptiles and amphibians that inhabit tropical and subtropical regions and prefer humidity and proximity to water. ● Contains live bacteria (Bacillus species) found in natural soil, blended into the soil. These bacteria break down waste such as feces and uneaten food, which can become harmful substances in water and soil if left untreated, thus maintaining an environment that is less stressful for the animals. ● Stabilizes pH to neutral to slightly acidic, which is suitable for many reptiles and amphibians. ● The soil particles themselves are porous, making them ideal for beneficial bacteria to colonize, and also function as a filter medium to keep water clean. ● Uses natural black soil, which adsorbs phosphorus (phosphate), which can inhibit calcium absorption if reptiles and amphibians ingest it excessively. ● Excellent permeability, water flow, and water retention, making it suitable for plant growth in terrariums. 〈How to Use〉 ● Spread a layer of 3-5 cm thick on the bottom of the terrarium or enclosure. ● Adjust the substrate by wetting it with water or adding water as needed to create the desired environment. (Can also be used without adding water.) *Rinsing is not necessary. Since the soil is fragile, gently add water using cushioning material during setup and avoid stirring. Adding water forcefully will cause cloudiness. *If cloudiness occurs during setup, it will reduce within a few hours. Using a filter in conjunction can help remove water cloudiness more quickly. Even if the cloudiness is difficult to remove, it will not affect the animals. *The amount of substrate and water needed will vary depending on the type of animal.
