Ludwig LM410 Super-Sensitive 14x5 I purchased this drum used about 30 years ago because it had a sound that could only be produced by an instrument from this era. After purchase, it was mainly used in studios for recording, and has been rarely used live. As I have fewer opportunities to play, I am listing it for sale with the hope that someone who is actively performing will use it. The signature parallel action strainer mechanism allows the snare wires to respond delicately even with a light tap on the edge of the head. The bright, clear sound produced by the Resinoid (aluminum alloy) shell, the same as the renowned LM400, remains intact. Its crisp and tight articulation captures ghost notes effortlessly, beautifully standing out across genres from rock to jazz and wind ensembles. As it is an older instrument, there are some scratches and rust, but for this listing, I have polished the entire shell and greased the tension bolts. Additionally, some of the fixing screws inside the lugs have been restored to the correct inch standard. The snare wires respond well, and there are no issues with the tone. *As a characteristic of vintage items, there is a slight tightness when attaching/detaching the rear hoop due to age-related changes, but this does not affect tuning or playing condition. I hope that someone who understands the value of vintage instruments and their unique specifications will actively play and bring out its sound. A soft case is included as a bonus.
